Experiences Designed for Founders Seeking More Than Just Travel
Explore immersive founders retreat experiences designed to slow you down and reconnect you with what truly matters. From mindful conversations and cultural immersion to mountain stillness, local traditions, wellness, and creative reflection, each experience is intentionally curated to help founders, builders, and leaders step away from noise and experience Bhutan differently.
Experiences
These are not activities. They are provocations.
Every experience is designed to shift how you think — about your company, your leadership, and what actually lasts.
Facilitated discussion
1. GNH Lab
Bhutan doesn’t measure success in GDP. It measures it in happiness. In this session, you sit with the practitioners and policymakers who built that system — and apply it to how you build yours. One question anchors everything: what would your business look like if it were designed to last?
Throughout the retreat
2. The Circle
No pitching. No panels. No performance. Just twelve founders in a closed room with a real question and enough trust to answer it honestly. The conversation that almost never happens in public — this is where it happens.
Grounding
3. Barefoot Walk
Remove your shoes. Feel the terrain. Let Bhutan slow you down in the way that nothing on your calendar ever does. No agenda, no output. Just you, the landscape, and whatever surfaces when you finally stop moving fast.
Bhutanese host families
4. Family Picnic
You are a guest at a Bhutanese family table. Local food, cultural games, real laughter. This session is about community — what it actually takes to build it, and what it quietly costs when it is missing from your company.
Daily | All levels welcome
5. Morning Practice
Every day begins before the agenda does. A guided yoga and meditation session to build the kind of attention that business rarely rewards — slow, inward, and honest. This is the foundation. Everything else is built on top of it.
Monastery visits | Throughout the route
6. Butter Lamp Offering
One of Bhutan’s most sacred rituals — performed in monasteries across the country for peace, clarity, and intention. Founders are invited to participate, not observe. What you take from it is entirely yours.
Thimphu or Paro | Half-day
7. School Visit
Walk into a Bhutanese classroom and teach. Share what you know, hold the room, adjust in real time. The act of distilling what actually matters — and saying it out loud to someone who has never heard it — has a way of clarifying things for the teacher more than the student.
Outdoor | Included in all cohorts
8. Tree Plantation
Bhutan is one of the few carbon-negative countries on earth. This session connects you directly to that commitment. Plant a tree in Bhutanese soil. It will outlast your next product launch, your next funding round, and possibly your company. That is the point.
